Hailing from Savannah, Georgia, Jonah Kagen discovered his love for music when he started taking guitar lessons at only six years old –while he sings and plays a number of instruments today, the guitar has always been (and always will be) his first love. When he's not writing, recording or producing his own music, he keeps himself extremely busy as a student and as the captain of the Cornell University varsity men's soccer team. He currently spends time between his on-campus home in Ithaca, New York and with his family in Dallas, Texas.
His music first became popular in 2020 thanks to TikTok, which helped him to grow the loyal fan base that supports him to this day. That's how he released his début single "Broken" presented on Morphosis back then. He's now back with a new track entitled "Turbulence" which provides a glimpse into his singular sound-propulsive, emotional music embracing folk's lyrical tradition, with elements of tropical house's bounce and his signature guitar playing. The promo video was directed by Christopher Phelps.
