Originally from the Bordeaux region in Western France, Nicolas Ly moved to Paris to study at the School of Fine Arts. Scouted by a modeling agent, he began a career in the world of fashion. Never far from music, he met musicians in Brussels and set up a rock band called Applause. In 2019, he decided to launch a solo career in music, this time in French language. It's when you could discover him on Morphosis with his first music video "Midnight zone". And finally in the spring of 2021, he released a first EP, "Rue de la Folie" -alluding to Folie-Méricourt Street in Paris where he lives. The queer androgynous singer-songwriter is now back with a new track entitled "Subliminal" taken from his sophomore EP due out April 15th. "This is the story of a guy who allegedly robbed a bank. On the way to his escape, he is shot", he explained. "Subliminal images come to his mind. He lives his last moments in a whirlwind of mental images, of which he cannot detect the true from the false". The promo video was directed by Elisa Baudoin.
