Perhaps you discovered him some years ago on Morphosis. Swedish singer Darin Zanyar grew up in a musical family from Iraqi Kurdistan and began singing at an early age. He started writing and recording songs at the age of 14 after being discovered by a music producer in school after a performance. He became nationally popular in 2004 when he participated in the first season of 'Swedish Idol' at the age of 16. He ended up as the runner-up and was signed by SonyBMG the day after the finale. He released his début album in February 2005, and a sophomore album in September 2005. He is now one of Sweden's best-selling artists. In early August 2020, Darin came out as gay on Instagram. And after "Superstar" (here), dude is now back with a new track entitled "Satisfaction". He stated "it's a song about embracing your sexuality and owning it and most importantly feeling free. My hope behind the song is that anyone who listens to it feels equally liberated". The promo video was directed by Peter Cadman.
