Santi Francesi - "Non è così male"

Previously known as The Jab, they participated in the 17th season of Italian talent show 'Amici di Maria de Filippi' in 2017. They released their first studio album "Tutti manifesti" in 2019. They won the 32th edition of the prestigious Musicultura festival in 2021. Their single "Giovani favolosi" was included in the soundtrack of the third season of Netflix series "Summertime". Their music offers a vision of the world in which reality is filtered by a colorful cynicism, with a look in constant balance between the collective vital momentum and the need for self-isolation. After "Signorino" (here on Morphosis), Alessandro de Santis and Mario Lorenzo Francese of pop duo Santi Francesi won the 16th season of The X Factor Italia on December 8, 2022 with their single "Non è così male" ('It ain't that bad'). "It's a photograph, a snapshot of a mind in conflict that oscillates between the desire to hide in a remote place forever and the visceral need to mingle with the crowd", they explained. "It's a step towards a silent happiness, devoid of too much enthusiasm, a declaration of futility, and the acceptance of it, in front of the universe; it's a hymn to emotion and the ability to abandon oneself to art, without explanations and without morals", they added. It's the point of view of passive onlookers standing by, on a synthwave sound carpet, and realizing that perhaps, in the end, the world isn't so bad after all.
